Philippines: Super Typhoon Fung-wong Causes Flooding and Leaves Damage 2

Fung-wong, known locally as Uwan, made landfall around 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 9 in Aurora Province, with winds of around 185 km/h. Over a million people had evacuated as heavy rains and strong winds cut power across Luzon. At least 18 people were killed, according to reports. The Hughes Fire broke out on Wednesday, January 22, near Lake Castaic, north of Santa Clarita. The fire quickly spread to more than 9,000 acres in Ventura and Los Angeles counties and was 0% contained. More than 50,000 people are under evacuation orders or warnings.
